Angel Mata Death – Maine East High School Student Angel Mata of Niles, Illinois has died. He passed away at the age of 17 on Monday 25th September 2023 after he was hit by a vehicle. According to information that has been released, the Niles police department was alerted to an accident and promptly dispatched officers to the scene situated at the 8200 block of West Ballard Road at approximately 2:29 a.m.

What happened to Angel Mata?

At the scene, Angel was discovered with severe injuries and was immediately transported to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, where tragically, he was later pronounced dead. Investigators have disclosed that the young boy was already positioned in the roadway when he was struck by a Nissan Xterra. Remarkably, the driver of the Xterra initially remained unaware of the collision with a pedestrian, but is actively cooperating with law enforcement authorities.

To aid in the investigation, the Major Crash Assistance Team has been called in to assist. Anyone possessing pertinent information related to this incident is urged to reach out to the Niles Police Department at 847-588-6570. Angel Mata’s limitless optimism was one of the attributes that connect him to others the most.

Angel Mata GoFundMe

A GoFundMe has been created by Lupita Soriano on Monday to financially support with Angel’s funeral and memorial. A statement from the account says “These funds are to help me with the expenses of my son Angel who died in an accident and since I am very low-income we practically live day to day and I have 3 more small children who like to help with whatever they like, thank you very much”.
