On Friday, March 11, 2022, Andrew Laud was murdered in a horrific road accident. A wrong-way vehicle who didn’t have his headlights on collided with him head-on. Both drivers were killed on the spot.
“Andrew was a Captain in the Army, serving our nation.” His brother said. He was a member of the 101st Airborne Division based at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
Jim Laud Sr. has thanked the officers who were involved in the case. “A heart-felt thanks to the Cedar Lake Fire and Police Departments, the Indiana Patriot Guard Riders as well as countless others who lined the procession route from Fowler to Cedar Lake.

“Funeral arrangements are pending. Please keep Andrew and our family in your prayers. Also pray for the driver who caused the crash.” He said.
