Andre Wallace Death – The Homicide Branch of the Metropolitan Police Department is now conducting an investigation into a homicide that took place on April 12, 2023, in the 1600 block of Benning Road, Northeast. The incident took place on a Wednesday. Officers from the Fifth District responded to the specified area at around 6:07 p.m. after receiving a report of shots fired at that place. Officers found a male adult victim of a shooting inside a business when they arrived.
Victim pronounced dead by police
The victim had been shot. The victim was kept at the location until they could transport them to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner after DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and discovered no indications of life consistent with the victim’s condition. Andre Wallace, Jr., age 19, a resident of the Northeast, District of Columbia, has been identified as the deceased.
A man is dead after a shooting inside a McDonald’s in Northeast D.C. Wednesday evening, D.C. police said. Officers were called to the 1600 Block of Benning Road NE in the Carver and Langston neighborhoods at around 6:10 p.m. and found a man unconscious and not breathing. He was pronounced deceased by DC Fire and EMS before being transported to the Chief Medical Examiner.
Police searching for suspect
Police encouraged people to keep an eye out for the suspect, a man with a handgun who was wearing a white shirt and blue jeans. Additionally, he was seen wearing a black sweatshirt around his waist. A reward of up to $25,000 is now being offered by the Metropolitan Police Department to anyone who comes forward with information that results in the capture and conviction of the person or people responsible for each homicide that occurs in the District of Columbia.
