Amy Wolfenden was Ben Quarles’s coach and she was flawless. She enlisted Ben to swim for her in her first year, and for the next four years, she played a pivotal role in our lives. Not only was she one of my best friends, but she was also one of the people who always made time to have coffee or lunch while I was visiting my hometown in the United States.
Throughout my whole time with her, she was a faithful and trustworthy ally. Her girls were raised to be as kind as she was because she lived for them. She was the ideal partner for her husband David, and together they knew how to enjoy life, whether it was at a stadium or on a boat. Just one was present.
