Althea devoted her life to caring for and rescuing animals of all kinds, including dogs and cats, squirrels, rabbits, bats, teddy bear hampsters, and many more. She took a warm, loving pride in her work. Even when she was a young child, Althea always knew that she wanted to devote her life to the study of animals in some capacity.
