Allan V. Dubrock Obituary, Death – Allan V. Dubrock, 70, of Bark River, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022. He was born on July 10, 1951 in Escanaba, son of Vernon and Edna (Witte) Dubrock. Allan was raised in Schaffer and attended Bark River School, graduating in 1969.
On June 30, 1991, Allan married Patricia “Patty” Gagne at the United Methodist Church in Bark River. Over the years, Allan drove truck for Robinson Furniture, Graham Transport, and Cedar River Lumber Company.
He also worked as a clerk for a period of time at the Harris Post Office, and then finished his career working for Ralph Bugay Logging until an injury forced him to retire.
Allan was a man of the outdoors. He loved working in the woods, grooming 4-wheeler trails, hunting, downhill skiing, and spending time at 16 Mile Lake. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR racing with his wife Patty.
He loved being with his family, whether camping, attending music festivals or any other activity that was spent together. In his younger years, he loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He took great pride that he and Patty built their log home in Bark River.
He had a great sense of humor, and often said things with a twinkle in his eye. Allan was a person who always extended his time to others, helping friends and family in any way needed.
Among survivors include his wife, Patty of Bark River; daughter, Deanna (Nick) Sturdy of Gladstone; father and mother-in-law, Albert and Evelyn Gagne; sister, Carole (Fred) Gagne; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mindy and Tom Carlson, Cindy and Randy Betters, and Becky Kleikamp; grand dog, Mr. Fritz; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Karen Dubrock. Private services will be held at the United Methodist Church in Bark River. Burial will take place in the Harris Twp. Cemetery. The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the family.
