Alfred D. Jackson death – Man dies after boat sinks in Toledo Bend

Authorities said a man, Alfred D. Jackson, 52, of Lake Charles, died on Saturday afternoon when heavy winds caused a boat to sink on the south end of Toledo Bend Reservoir.

Around 3 p.m., search and rescue workers from the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, the Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Texas Parks and Wildlife received a call about two men in the water after their boat sank.

The crews began scanning the area right away. Around 6 p.m., Texas Parks and Wildlife employees discovered the guys in the water, one of whom was still alive. The survivor’s state of health has not been communicated.
