Alexander Ripka Death – A 32-year-old father passed away in a deadly Interstate-694 accident in Oakdale Thursday morning. Alexander Ripka, of Rice, Minnesota died in the crash that happened on the northbound I-694 in Oakdale. According to law enforcement agencies, 3-year-old Nevaeh Ripka, the daughter of Alexander was transported to the Gillette Children’s Hospital for treatment. A second man identified as 28-year-old William Alexander Flores-Zamora of St. Paul, MN also died in the tragic accident, according to the investigating department.
The investigators the crash left a 35-year-old Buffalo, NY man hospitalized. Before 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, a Toyota Corolla and a Pontiac Vibe collided head-on at the intersection of Stillwater Boulevard and the northbound left lane, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The Vibe reportedly spun out and collided with a Mercedes Benz Sprinter van traveling north in the right lane after the collision. According to the investigation, the Vibe’s driver, 32-year-old Minnesota resident Alexander Ripka, was ejected and later died of his injuries.
According to the report, he was not using a safety belt. Nevaeh Ripka, age 3, was a passenger and was airlifted to Gillette Children’s Hospital with critical injuries. Law enforcement agencies involved in the investigation did not immediately confirm if alcohol was a factor in the deadly collision. The route was reopened hours after the investigators had cleared the scene of the accident.
