A motorcyclist who was 53 years old was killed after the car he was driving collided with a truck that was traveling northbound on Interstate 35 early on Thursday morning, according to the Schertz Police Department. The collision took at about two in the morning. The rider is thought to have been traveling at an excessive speed when he smashed his motorcycle into the back of an unknown truck, as stated by the police. On the spot, a medical examiner determined that the man had passed away.
The motorcycle was found on its side in the left lane of traffic, and the man’s body was recovered on the left shoulder. According to the police, the officers found the man dead on the left shoulder. Nobody has been able to identify the individual. While emergency personnel were working at the area, they forced the closure of the highway for many hours. The drivers were instructed to take the access route at Schertz Parkway once they got off the motorway. Since then, the highway has been made accessible again.
According to the Schertz police, they do not believe the driver of the vehicle will face any charges as a result of the incident. Investigation into what caused the crash is still going on.
