Albuquerque Shooting Investigations – Three people were killed and one person was injured in a shooting in northeast Albuquerque on Sunday morning, according to police. Officers were rushed to the area of Washington Street NE and Hilton Avenue NE for a report of a shooting, according to Albuquerque police. When cops arrived, they discovered three victims who had died as a result of their injuries. Another person was sent to the hospital for treatment. No suspect has been identified in this incident.
According to police, no one is in jail. The Homicide Unit of the Albuquerque Police Department is investigating. The identities of the deceased subject will be released after next of kin notification. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Albuquerque Police.

On Tuesday, the Albuquerque Police Department detained two people who were seen in an Instagram video discharging firearms from a vehicle. On September 9, 2021, detectives with APD’s Eastside ImpactUnit received a video of the two suspects discharging pistols that had been posted on Instagram. The footage was linked to a shots-fired report near Dellwood Rd N.E., according to investigators. A 17-year-old male was identified as the likely owner of the Instagram account. In the vicinity, detectives discovered a Ring video that identified the culprit and a vehicle with damage to the left rear panel.
Detectives spoke with the adolescent, who acknowledged filming the short video and shooting out the front passenger window. Simon Obervbay, 20, was identified as the second person. On September 14th, the offender’s vehicle was discovered on September 14, and search warrants were issued. Oberbay was arrested on a warrant, and both search warrants were carried out. The investigation is still ongoing, and APD will charge Overbay with Shooting At or From a Motor Vehicle, Conspiracy and Contributing, and Contributing to a Minor’s Delinquency. The juvenile perpetrator is also facing charges.
