Have you ever wondered what Al Green’s net worth is in early 2016? According to sources, Al’s total net worth is $10 million, which he has amassed through his great career in the music industry. When he became an ordained pastor of the Full Gospel Tabernacle, he also increased his fortune. Another source is the publication of his autobiography, “Take Me To The River” (2000).

Al Green has a net worth of $10 million dollars.

Cora Lee and Robert G. Greene, Jr., who worked as a sharecropper, reared Al Green as the sixth of ten children. Al began performing with his siblings in their own group, the Green Brothers, when he was ten years old. Later, the family relocated to Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he attended high school and created Al Greene & the Creations, a choral group. Soon after, the group changed its name to Al Greene & the Soul Mates and created the smash single “Back Up Train,” but subsequent releases, including their first studio album of the same name, failed horribly.

Despite this, Al continued to make music, and his second album, “Green Is Blues,” was released in 1969, reaching No. 3 on the US R&B Charts. Green was urged to stay in the same musical genre, and his fame soared during the 1970s. Some of his albums were certified gold or platinum, increasing his net worth and propelling him to the top of the US R&B charts. “Let’s Stay Together” (1972), “I’m Still in Love with You” (1972), “Call Me” (1973), “Livin’ for You” (1973), “Al Green Explores Your Mind” (1974), and “Al Green Is Love” (1975) all charted at No. 1 in the United States R&B charts. His fame and career began to wane after that, and his albums never again reached the top of the R&B charts. He maintained his net worth by releasing albums such as “Have a Good Time” (1976) and “Truth n’ Time” (1978), among others, during the 1970s.
