According to a news statement issued by the Archdiocese of Agana on Thursday, school administrators initiated the lockdown at the Tamuning Catholic school on Wednesday after discovering a note that threatened gun violence. The note was found in the school’s office.

Law officers began a search of the school and the surrounding areas, including Tamuning Elementary School, which is located just across the street, after the authorities were called and parents and guardians were instructed to pick up their children from the facility. It was determined that neither of the institutions posed any threat. According to the news release issued by the archdiocese, Saint Anthony will provide parents with an update today.
