Accident In Vancouver WA; Jason Rivera teen pedestrian, hit By Truck on Highway 205 in Clark County: The pedestrian was injured on Wednesday when a semi-truck struck her while she was crossing Highway 205, according to the Washington State Patrol. The man was eighteen years old. The Gresham resident, known only as Jason Rivera Peinado, was brought to the hospital to receive treatment for his injuries. According to accounts, Rivera Peinado parked his car on the shoulder and then moved onto the main road when he was struck by the semi-truck. Martin Gorton, the semi-truck driver, was a sixty-year-old Vancouver local who escaped the collision unscathed.
During the course of the investigation, the Washington State Patrol announced that Gorton will be charged. It is not thought that drinking or drug use played a role in the collision. According to the Washington State Police Department (WSPD), a dump truck and trailer carrying treated human waste have overturned on Interstate 5, somewhat north of the Interstate 205 intersection in Salmon Creek, Washington. It occurred immediately south of the Fairgrounds exit, just before 8:40 a.m.
Roadways in both directions have been interrupted by the overturned dump truck, which has resulted in traffic jams of miles. According to WSPD, one lane of southbound I-5 is open. In the inner northbound lane, there are workers blocking the path. For a short while, traffic was backlogged all the way to Ridgefield’s exit 14.
The reaction was sparked by a pedestrian who was straying on one of the southbound lanes of the I-5, according to WSPD Trooper Will Finn. The dump truck driver was unable to stop safely in time as a result, he claimed, because traffic slowed down. The dump truck overturned and spilled its load onto the road, rolling through the barrier and into the lanes headed north. Finn said the dump truck was full of processed human waste from a Cowlitz County business.
