Obituary Unavailable – Death, Man dies from injuries after 18-wheeler has blowout – According to San Antonio police, a man died from his injuries after an 18-wheeler suffered a blowout and smashed into his car and an SUV on Interstate 10 on the Northwest Side.
On Wednesday, just after 5 p.m., an accident occurred in the 11900 block of I-10 near De Zavala Road.
According to ksat.com, An 18-wheeler gravel hauler heading northbound on the highway had a blowout, forcing it to swerve to the left and hit a Toyota Corolla and a Jeep Latitude, according to a preliminary SAPD investigation.
The Corolla collided with a concrete barrier in the median as a result of the collision. The car continued on top of the barrier until it came to a stop against a metal pillar.
The car’s driver was transferred to a local hospital, where he died later. The SAPD has not released his name. The Jeep Latitude’s driver was brought to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries as well. At this time, his condition is uncertain.
