Accident – Anthony Williams Inderkum Obituary, Death
The pedestrian hit and killed by a vehicle in a Rocklin roadway over the weekend has been identified as a Sacramento senior and basketball player for Inderkum High School. Deidra Powell, a spokesperson for the Natomas Unified School District, confirmed on Sunday that Anthony Williams died in the crash on Saturday.
Williams was a freshman at Inderkum this year. He had previously attended Whitney High School and other Rocklin schools.
Powell said, “We are deeply saddened by the devastating loss of Anthony Williams, a student-athlete who attended Inderkum High School,” “This school year, Anthony became a member of the Inderkum clan. In that short time, he made a positive impact on and off the court for the school. He will be missed a lot. His family, friends, and all those who knew and loved him are in our thoughts and prayers.”
In an Instagram post, the Inderkum basketball team said it was “devastated by the loss of our family Anthony Williams.”

A driver struck a pedestrian on Lonetree Boulevard and Adams Drive around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, according to Rocklin police. According to reports, the driver is cooperating with the investigation.
On Sunday, Rocklin police forwarded KCRA 3 to the Placer County coroner’s office. Meanwhile, on Sunday evening, candles and a photo in memory of Williams were seen at the crash site.
