Abigail Keen Death – Abigail Keen, a longtime Grantham, North Carolina resident who has been battling PSC for years has sadly passed away. Abigail Keen also known to many as Grantham-Abigail Keen-Pipkin died on Monday, the 27th of March 2023 at Duke University Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was 26 years old at the time of her passing. Thoughts and prayers are with her friends and family during this difficult time.
Who was Abigail Keen?
Abigail Keen was born on June 30, 1996, and raised in Grantham, North Carolina. She attended Sampson Community College. Abigail worked at Johnston Health. A person with one of the purest hearts you could ever hope to encounter, as well as the life of the party and a genuine original. Her grin could light up a whole room, and having her as a friend ensured that there was never a dull moment, only moments filled with laughter and smiles.

Brittany Mitchell, a resident of Goldsboro, North Carolina has set up a GoFundMe page to assist the family with medical and other expenses during this difficult time. The goal for the page “Expenses for Abby, Deon & Waylon” was set at $7,000. So far, it has raised $7,675 USD.
“Abby, Deon and sweet Waylon are near and dear to my heart as they are to so many others. As many of you know Abby has been fighting PSC for years, she has had two liver transplants and is now in the process of being relisted for a third liver. Deon is a single parent. Abby will be in the hospital for some time while waiting for the liver transplant.”

A service to celebrate Abby’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 3, 2023, in the Birdsong Chapel at The Cornealius Properties, 1536 Old Smithfield Rd, Goldsboro, NC 27530 with Rev. Patrick Muston officiating. Interment will follow in the Eureka Christian Church Cemetery, Mount Olive. Abby’s family will receive friends from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Seymour Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
