Ron Rivera, the son of Eugenio Rivera, a US Army commander, was born into a Puerto Rican-Mexican household. Rivera spent the majority of his childhood in military posts all over the world, notably in Panama and Germany, before settling in Monterey, California, where he attended Seaside High School and began playing football.
