Aaron Livingston Death – Aaron Livingston, a Tower Climber and painter at Skyline Tower Painting has passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023. Livingston who was a native of Cottonwood, Arizona was also a certified Rock Guide at Alpenglow Expeditions. The cause of his death has not been officially confirmed but some unconfirmed sources are reporting that he had died died after a fall.
About Aaron Livingston
Aaron spent his childhood in the Wasatch Mountains, which are located close to Park City, Utah. From the time he was a little child, his parents instilled in him a profound love for natural environments as well as a healthy respect for them. Aaron began skiing with his father when he was just 5 years old, and during his childhood and adolescent years, he went on several camping and backpacking excursions with his family, which contributed to the development of his profound passion for the mountains.
Aaron began climbing in 2012 and knew almost immediately that he had discovered his true vocation. In 2018, he launched his guiding career in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado, after having spent many years traveling around the western United States in search of a lifestyle that allowed him to climb professionally. In 2022, he made the decision to relocate to Truckee in order to seek a career with Alpenglow Expeditions.
Aaron’s climbing career includes many free ascents of El Capitan, a solo-one-day ascent of El Cap, First ascents of huge walls in Zion National Park and the Wind River Range of Wyoming, and many smaller first ascents around the western United States. One of Aaron’s first ascents of El Capitan was accomplished solo in one day. He has a wealth of expertise directing excursions to the Ruth Gorge in Alaska, in addition to ice climbs in Colorado.
Aaron is an Alpenglow guide that specializes in leading rock climbing, via ferrata, and Mount Shasta expeditions. He has completed the AMGA’s Rock Guide course, as well as their Ice Instructor Course and Alpine Skills course. In total, he has three certifications from the AMGA.
