How did Aaron ‘Dada’ Scarlett die? Authorities in Westmoreland are investigating the death of a goat herder identified as 68-year-old Aaron ‘Dada’ Scarlett, from Crowder in Grange Hill. He was found dead on Wednesday’s morning. His cause of death is not known at the time this report was filed.

Dada’s boy was found in bushes and there was a chop wound around his neck. According to the Morgan’s Bridge police in Grange Hill, Scarlett left home with his goats early Wednesday morning but never returned home. A resident found his body in bushes.
Scarlett’s body was transferred to the Savanna-la-Mar Hospital, where his death was confirmed, and the police were notified.
Scarlett’s death has yet to be determined, but the goat herders who were murdered last December appeared to have been looted. Last year, as the Yuletide season approached, a rash of goat thefts occurred, prompting calls for tougher penalties for praedial thieves.
