According to Michigan State Police, a 46-year-old lady from Jasper, Michigan, lost control of her Ford Edge while driving south on Interstate 275. The SUV crossed the middle and drove up the embankment to the freeway’s northbound lanes. According to authorities, the vehicle rolled over and was struck by a northbound Buick LaCrosse.
The Edge’s driver and passenger, a 21-year-old Canton Township resident, were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Troopers claimed they weren’t wearing seatbelts. According to officials, the driver of the Buick sustained minor injuries. Police closed I-275 throughout the investigation. They say it’s unclear what led the Edge to exit the southbound lanes.
