55-year-old Mark Johnson reportedly shot and killed in Dawson Park

Mark Johnson, 55, has been identified as the victim who was reportedly shot to death near Dawson Park on Tuesday. According to PPB officials, the gunshot occurred shortly after noon on Tuesday.

Officers arrived in the 2900 block of North Williams Avenue and found Mark deceased with what appeared to be gunshot wounds

Mark Johnson, 55, was killed by a gunshot, according to Portland police. His death was ruled a homicide by the state medical examiner.

The inquiry is still underway, and no arrests have been made. Johnson’s death was the 20th homicide in Portland in 2022.
