4-vehicle crash causes fuel spill on I-440 west near Poole Rd

Three interstates are experiencing delays due to a four-vehicle incident and fuel spill on I-440 west near Poole Rd. Hazmat crews are currently cleaning up a 50-gallon fuel spill.

On Thursday morning, a four-car collision caused substantial delays on I-440, I-40, and I-87 near Poole Road. The accident involved a tractor-trailer and a box truck, according to authorities.

The tractor-trailer reportedly flipped over, obstructing many lanes of traffic, while the box truck’s fuel tank also burst, pouring dozens of gallons of petrol onto the road.

At this point, it is unknown whether anyone was critically harmed in the collision.
