A fatal collision that occurred on a major thoroughfare in Butler County is currently being investigated by the police.
Traffic in West Chester was halted for several hours as a result of the inquiry. We are aware that the collision has resulted in the deaths of at least three individuals.
At approximately 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, the West Chester police department got the initial report of the collision. Following a period of about five hours during which they were closed due to the investigation, the main streets that are located between Cox Road and Service Center Drive are now open beginning Monday morning.
Several calls to 911 describe a driver who is going in the wrong direction. As a result of the driver going the wrong way, there were two accidents, according to the authorities.
According to the police, the intoxicated motorist collided with a vehicle next to the VOA shopping mall. When the initial collision occurred, nobody was hurt.
As a result of the driver going the wrong way, another vehicle was struck close to Service Center Drive, which ultimately led to the deaths of three people.
Three automobiles were involved in the accident, according to the authorities, and they were left severely damaged and practically unrecognizable. On the side of the road, one of them even flipped entirely over from the inside out.
We’re told that at least two people died at the scene and a third died later at the hospital. All three people who died were adults. Police have not said how the crash started, nor have identified the victims. West Chester police say the crash remains under investigation Monday morning.
