On this day, Tuesday, July 5th, 2022, many workers are currently on the scene of a fire that is burning across multiple acres in Fairfield, California. Officials say that personnel are responding to a wildfire that has spread across 22 acres in the Nelson Hill Quarry in Fairfield, which is located in Solano County.
At this time, there has been no containment of the fire, which is currently at the fourth alarm level. There have been no calls for evacuation, and it is still unknown whether any structures are in danger. UPDATE – According to officials, residents of the Cordelia area were given instructions to evacuate immediately. Cal Fire has stated that it is assisting local agencies around the intersection of Thomasson Lane and Cordelia Road, where the Nelson Fire was initially reported at approximately 11:30 a.m. By noon.
The Office of Emergency Services for Solano County advised that everyone living in the area bounded by Romania Road, Cordelia Road, and Thomasson Lane between Link Road and Thomasson Lane needed to leave their homes immediately.
