Report got to us this morning, that a two-vehicle accident that occurred on route 422 leaves 2 people with injuries, and produced a traffic delay on one of Indiana County’s major highways. Authorities attended the scene and the victims were rushed out for medical examination.
At 7:38 this morning, Indiana County 911 dispatched members of the Indiana Fire Association Rescue Squad, Citizens Ambulance, and Indiana State Police to Route 422 West near Poulos Road in Armstrong Township for a reported T-bone style collision involving a Toyota Prius and a school van.
The driver of the school vehicle sustained minor to moderate injuries in the collision, according to state police. At the time, one child was on board the school vehicle, and that youngster received a minor injury as well.
According to reports, the Indiana Area School District has released a statement regarding the accident, claiming that the vehicle was theirs and that it was transporting a kid from St. Bernard’s. The school system did speak with the child’s parents about the accident and what was happening.
