2 girls age 11, and 16 die in Sherwood car crash

Dalzell man, 55, critically injured after industrial accident in Peru

A fatal crash that occurred in Sherwood, on Sunday evening has claimed the lives of two girls, ages 11 and 16. There has been no formal identification of both girls, as officers have not disclosed much information to the public.

Sherwood police said the girls were walking near Southwest Edy Road and Trailblazer Place at 7 p.m. when they were hit. The girls were Sherwood residents who went to schools in the Washington County city southwest of Portland, according to police.

According to authorities, the motorist who was involved in the accident stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. According to them, the driver was unharmed.

Several motorist do run away after such an incident for the fear of the charges that could be leveled on them but the motorist involved in this accident complied with police. the family of both girls are mourning their loss.
