A 15-year-old kid was killed in a forklift accident Sunday night, according to Metro Nashville Police. According to investigators, Jaden Dalton and another juvenile entered the Davidson Street equipment rental property and started the machinery’s engines.
Dalton was performing donuts on a forklift when it overturned on top of him, according to a witness. Tributes have been made by Metro Nashville Public Schools
Our thoughts are with Jaden Dalton’s family and friends, a ninth-grade student at Maplewood High School who unfortunately died in an accident yesterday. As they grieve the loss of a classmate, our support team has been working with the school to give grief counseling.
Cristol Quintana, his older sister, was one of the first adults to arrive on the scene. “”About an hour later, they simply walked in the house and said ‘he’s not breathing, he’s dead, he’s gone,’ and I hurried down there, I tried to pick up the machine, I couldn’t even handle it,” she added. He had vanished.”
“All I want is for him to come back. That is all there is to it. I simply want him to return; I’m already missing him “Latonya Dalton, Jaden’s aunt, remarked
The forklift’s keys were left in the ignition, according to Jaden’s relatives, and the site lacked sufficient fence. We contacted the corporation named as the property owner, but received no response.
