1 In Custody, Body Found Following Police Standoff In San Jose – Following a standoff in San Jose on Monday, police detained one individual and launched an investigation after discovering a dead body inside the home.
At around 6:04 p.m., the San Jose Police Department claimed that it was called to a probable gunshot in the 300 block of North 20th Street and that someone had barricaded themselves inside the home.
The agency provided an update, stating that the individual was taken into custody at around 8:38 p.m. after leaving the property.
Officers discovered a deceased lady inside, and they are currently looking into the death as a homicide. The agency withheld more details on the occurrence.
While detectives worked, police advised the public to stay away from the area.
