According to the father of one victim, there was a marital quarrel that swiftly descended into violence, prompting the gunman to flee.

After spending hours figuring out who launched the attack, Memphis Police withdrew into the shadows after a fatal gunshot occurred inside the Shadowbrook Townhouses. On Saturday morning, there were a lot of investigators working in this location along Sarabee Lane at the Parkway Village complex near Getwell Road. For the past two years, one man has called this place home. We had an off-camera conversation with a father who identified his daughter as one of the victims who had been shot in the mouth and was taken to the hospital in severe condition. Making matters worse, he said this was no random attack, leaving many living nearby with plenty of questions. Sadly, there aren’t many solutions available. Yet one thing is for certain according to the people we spoke with ending the cycle of violence would require the cooperation of the entire community. “You do your best to raise your child in the proper manner. They’re trying to teach children how to love God, a neighbor claimed. Police were still hunting for the offender or offender(s) as of the previous report. According to MPD, one of the victims is acquainted with the suspect.
